Get Hired by Top Companies with This PM Portfolio Template

Enhance your job applications with a professional portfolio.

Hi,

Job search is a high-leverage activity.

If done right, you not only get the raise you have been looking for but also can land a more ambitious role, with people you admire and technology you love.

I started my career as a Software developer, and then switched roles as UX Designer while I was working with Samsung.

I joined IndiaMART as a UX Designer and then moved to Product Management where I led different products that were used by millions on daily basis.

I did all this without a degree in Design or Business.

The one thing that helped me switch roles unconventionally is - my portfolio.

Early in my career, I learned the importance of a portfolio.

I saw portfolios by Designers.

I also saw seasoned developers showcase the apps they developed and share the code they wrote on Git Hub.

I realized very soon that anyone proud of the work would need more than a few lines of a resume to showcase their work.

Your portfolio does the job of highlighting what you truly bring to the table and helps you stand out in a competitive market.

And nothing could be more convincing to a hiring manager than seeing the actual work you have done.

As a hiring manager, many times there were strict hiring criteria with respect to education, experience, etc.

However, the only exceptions were the candidates with strong portfolios.

Your portfolio can be your own website, a notion doc or a presentation.

The idea is to show your proof of your work.

Today I will share the template of my portfolio that helped me convince hiring managers at Google, Agoda, and startups in Dubai for Senior roles in Product Management.

This PM portfolio template showcases

- Example of how you follow the process in a given project

- The impact you had
